An older cousin to the shrine maiden of the Furude Shrine in Hinamizawa, and grew up really close with her, almost like best friends~

Her parents, though, her dad passed away due to natural causes and her mom just kinda up and left early in her life, so she kinda spent most of her time with Rika anyways.

Having been adopted by a man in Okinomiya, she was moved over to his home. There, Hanyuu was pretty much raised by her new father, and the term "boku" stuck for referring to herself unlike the feminine "atashi". Sometime around mid-school year, her new daddy and herself moved to Triou and ta-dah. This background story fails epicly~!

Hanyuu has a pretty good voice, sweet and soft, which is why she got accepted in to the school chorus~ Also, she knows how to play the xylophone? XD Her current dad is a freelance photographer, and often times he asks Hanyuu to model for him, so that kinda makes her a bit of a model, I guess. She really admires her daddy's work, too~

Hanyuu has something of a mild depression, usually leaving her having no hope whatsoever and pessimistic to no end, stemming from the loss of her birth parents plus the fact that she was pretty much the odd one in the local Okinomiya elementary school oAo;; She's pretty shy too, and a crybaby, so that kinda doesn't help much.

But other than that, she's rather easy to cheer up. And she loves sweets. If she could, Hanyuu would live off sweets. On the topic of foods, Hanyuu hates anything spicy or bitter like, say, kimchi or wine.

She's very loyal to her friends but as mentioned, after trying so many times to help them with something she'll eventually start losing hope. But she'll continue on. Hanyuu also believes in Oyashiro-sama, as many from Hinamizawa do.

Also, Hanyuu says "au au au" when she's sad, and "uguu" when she's happy~
